Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $17,423 spent. Our main programs HFS Storytelling & HFS Connects are designed to create meaningful opportunities for community building among service members, veterans & their families. Through both programs we recruit and train military connected volunteers to provide a variety of peer support, including social/emotional and goal oriented support, and/or engage participants in the storytelling process. Through HFS Storytelling we hope to capture the diversity of military service in New England, bridging the gaps between the military, veteran & civilian communities. In addition this years HFS Family Storytelling Retreat with Camp Resilience provided for five military and veteran families. Our Shaped by Service Art Show brought together over 26 military connected artists from Massachusetts & Connecticut to display & celebrate their sculptures, painting, woodworks, ceramics and other pieces of art. We now also offer an art class.
