Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $69,395 spent. "Main Project": [ ] is a collaboration among director-choreographer Adrienne Westwood, composer Angélica Negrón and a ten member team of designers and creatives. Development and rehearsals continued in the fall and winter. Open rehearsals were held at The Mercury Store in Brooklyn in January as part of the annual APAP conference with 75 in attendance. And in March of 2025, three preview performnaces were presented at and by The ODC Theater in San Francisco, with about 225 people in attendance. In both cases, audience members were invited to explore and interact with the electronic musical mobile that is an integral part of the creation.
  2. $2,120 spent. On November 25, 2024, artists Angélica Negrón and Adrienne Westwood led El Puente students through a "[community stories]" workshop to create "[community stories]: an interactive musical offering." These "offerings" were recorded and compiled into an ongoing interactive musical installation, using capacitive sensors attached to living plants to trigger each sound composition. This interactive installation then lived at El Puente for their annual Three Kings Day and beyond, for the wider public to enjoy. This project was produced in association with El Puente and National Sawdust with funding from Brooklyn Arts Council.
