We host health fairs and other health related events. We are certified with the USDA 502 Direct Mortgage program and launched HP Homes, for Affordable Housing for first time, rural, low to very low-income, homebuyers. We host free health fairs and educational programs. We revitalize historic buildings and advocate for additional amenities from the county where warranted. We installed the US Hwy 27 S Veterans Memorial, added upgrades to the historic cemetery, which through our efforts is now listed with the US Park Services' Registered List of Historic Places, host Great American Clean ups, installed sidewalks, fishing piers, upgrades to the MLK Jr. Sports Field and provide arts and cultural programs for the community. We focus our programs on low-income individuals and families, the elderly and veterans. However, we are recognized by Highlands County government for our efforts. We have removed tons of debris, restore our commercial district, installed first sidewalks in this 85+ year old community and expanded several programs to serve county wide.
