WE HAVE SEEN MANY CHILDREN GROW INTO SUCCESSFUL ROLES IN THE COMMUNITY, AS WELL AS BECOMING STAND OUT LEADERS IN CHURCH, YOUTH GROUP AND SPORTS TEAMS. WE ARE STARTING ON OUR 20TH YEAR OF TEACHING ENGLISH. WE HAVE MANAGED TO KEEP THIS MINISTRY FREE TO THE COMMUNITY. OUR PAST STUDENTS HAVE GOTTEN GOOD JOBS WORKING AS A TRANSLATOR, GUIDES, IN BANKS, HOTELS AND GOVERNMENT POSITIONS ALONG WITH OTHER VENUES WHERE ENGLISH IS SPOKEN AND NEEDS TRANSLATION. WE ARE NOW TEACHING 9 CLASSES EACH EVENING RANGING FROM PHONICS TO SENTENCE STRUCTURE AND COMPOSITION. WE AVERAGE 195-200 STUDENTS EACH EVENING, AS THE STUDENT FINISH ONE GRADE AND MOVE UP TO ANOTHER THEY ARE AWARDED A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION FROM GCCS.
  2. $154,761 spent. ERIC AND GINNY ARE VERY BUSY SELLING SAK SAUM PRODUCTS AT LOCAL MARKETS IN FLORIDA AND COLORADO, WE ARE SO BLESSED BY THE VOLUNTEERS THAT HAVE HELPED US THIS YEAR WITH SALES AND SETUP, THEY ARE REAL HARD WORKERS AND LOVE TO HELP. SAK SAUM IN CAMBODIA IS MOVING FORWARD WITH SOME DESIGNS AND STRATEGIC METHODS IN SEWING AND COLOR GRADING AND PURCHASING FABRICS.GINNY AND JESS WORK TIRELESSLY TO RUN SAK SAUM REMOTELY, BUT THERE IS NOTHING LIKE BEING HOME. WE WERE SO THANKFUL FOR THE DONATIONS THAT MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR GINNY AND JESS TO BOTH GO TO CAMBODIA THIS YEAR. GINNY TEACHES IN THE CLASSROOM IN CAMBODIA ON SPIRITUAL MATTERS, AS WELL AS LIFE ISSUES AND ENCOURAGES AND RELEASES THE STAFF TO THEIR FULL POTENTIAL IN THE WORKPLACE AND AT HOME. JESS FOCUSED ON TEAM BUILDING, LEADERSHIP CLASSES AND NEW DESIGNS AS WELL AS SECURING HUNDREDS OF YARDS OF SECOND-HAND FABRICS. WHILE SHE WAS THERE, WE WERE ALSO ABLE TO RENEW DANE'S PASSPORT FOR ANOTHER 10 YEARS, THIS WAS IMPORTANT AS IT CANNOT BE RENEWED OUTSIDE OF CAMBODIA.SAK SAUM EDUCATIONAL OUTREACHSAK SAUM SEES THE IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION AND LEARNING AND HELPS MEET THE NEEDS OF STUDENTS OF THE COMMUNITY THAT NEED ASSISTANCE. WE STILL HAVE ONE COUPLE IN THIS PROGRAM WHO ARE IN THEIR EIGHTIES AND UNABLE TO SUSTAIN THEMSELVES.SPORTS PROGRAMSPORTS PLAYS A LARGE ROLE IN DISCIPLESHIP WE BELIEVE. OUR SPORTS MINISTRY HAS DRAWN MANY YOUTH AND YOUNG PEOPLE TO THE CAMPUS IN THE PAST AND IS STILL A DRAW. OUR COACHES AND VOLUNTEERS ARE VERY GOOD WITH THE YOUTH, TEACHING THEM THE PRINCIPLES OF THE GAME OF SOCCER AND HOW DAILY PRACTICE AND COMMITMENT TO THE TEAM MEMBERS CAN BUILD LONG LASTING RELATIONSHIP AND TRUST.
