What it says it does

FIREFIGHTERS AND POLICE OFFICERS REALIZE FROM THE START THAT THEY WILL NOT GET RICH IN THE CAREER PATHS THEY CHOSE SO THEY AUGMENT THEIR SALARIES BY WORKING PART-TIME JOBS. WHILE THE BENEFITS OF THEIR PRIMARY JOB COVERS MEDICAL EXPENSES AND SICK LEAVE COVERS PRIMARY INCOME, AN INJURED FIREFIGHTER OR POLICE OFFICER LOSE THEIR PART-TIME EARNINGS AND IN MANY CASES THIS PLACES A STRAIN ON THE FAMILIES' FINANCIAL STABILITY. IN THESE CASES ROSWELL FIRE AND POLICE FOUNDATION ASSESSES THE FAMILIES' FINANCIAL STATUS AND PROVIDES THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO MAINTAIN FINANCIAL STABILITY. IN CASES WHERE THE FIREFIGHTER OR POLICE OFFICER DIES FROM AN INJURY OR ILLNESS, THE RFPF PROVIDES IMMEDIATE FINANCIAL RELIEF TO COVER THE FAMILY'S IMMEDIATE NEEDS. IN ADDITION TO FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, THE ROSWELL FIRE AND POLICE FOUNDATION ASSIGNS A FAMILY LIAISON OFFICER TO COORDINATE OTHER NEEDS THE FAMILY MAY HAVE. THE FAMILY LIAISON OFFICER INQUIRES WHAT THE FAMILY NEEDS TO ENSURE NORMAL DOMESTIC CHORES ARE

Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.
