Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $559,843 spent. FY 2024 brought numerous opportunities and challenges to House of Hope KC as we continued to strengthen our residential therapeutic program, and promote our Outpatient Family Counseling Center. In this shortened fiscal year we continued to serve both boys and girls as we expanded our number of community and church partners. One category of residents we continue to serve more and more are parents who adopt out of foster care. Adoptive parents have a multitude of challenges with their teens and HOHKC has brought hope, structure, and healing to these families as they navigate the trauma their children experienced before being adopted. HOHKC also saw a dramatic rise in generosity from financial partners at our annual Night of Hope fundraising event, taking in over $356,000 in support through that one event. HOHKC also continues to promote our programs throughout the country in a robust Google Ad campaign, and through our presence at Adoptive family conferences. HOHKC was able to complete several deferred maintenance projects this year with the help of community and church partners, allowing our facilities to be updated for the mission ahead. HOHKC continues to build our volunteer base with 7 weekly volunteers and approximately 120 volunteers serving in various workdays on our campus throughout the year. HOHKC was able to graduate 5 more students from our program in October 2024, and we witnessed our largest year-end giving in several years. Shifting our fiscal year to calendar year will set up HOHKC for future success especially as we continue to pursue more grant funding through Family and Community Foundations.
