Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. We partner with our sister organization "Amigos de Jesus" in Andahuaylas, Peru to serve 30+ women through a micro-loan program. We provide guidance, emotional support, and a place to meet monthly to discuss business issues/opportunities. We also serve regular meals for 10 children and young adults. We provide occasional meals and celebrations 50+ young adults. We also have Bible studies for those young adults and guests. We open up the facility to local churches for services and occasional retreats. We currently provide 1 on 1 support for those with complex trauma with the goal to have support group meeting regularly. Our budget is primarly for utilities, food, and administrative staff. While some staff participate in these programs, we don't allocate their time to them. We try to get volunteers from the community and churches as much as possible. We are new and seem to take 2 steps forward and 1 step back. It is a challenge to get the staff to reach out into the community and churches to find partners. We are in the process of implementing smaller, direct, measurable goals in order to get the staff more active. We are very encouraged however the people that are involved are passionate and greatful and we are teaching them to convert that energy to towards others.
