Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Led by its guiding principles Education, Experience, Excellence the Associations activities support informed decision-making, professional development, and increased public awareness of pearls. In addition, the Association also promotes ethical business practices among its members.
  2. Japan Pearl Tours 2025The Pearl Association of America completed two successful pearl tours of Japan in 2025, in association with the Japan Pearl Exporters Association. The tours took place in June and November and included immersive visits to Japans akoya pearl farms.
