The Brookhaven Employees Recreation Association is an organization that provides recreational and social events and activities to employees of Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). All members of BERA's Governing Board are employees of BNL and are elected by the employees of BNL to three year terms. All board members and officers serve on a voluntary basis and receive no compensation. Participant fees are offered at or near cost to BNL employees and their families.

All facilities are provided by Brookhaven National Laboratory and are the property of the Federal government. All activities are offered at at or near cost to all employees.
