Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $38,963 spent. Support 12-Step Recovery programs. The Connection hosted 15-20 recovery group meetings per week, including in-person and hybrid combining in-person and Zoom video attendance. In-person attendance is challenging for many community members due to their health concerns, work/family commitments, and lack of transportation. While community members could attend virtual meetings hosted from anywhere around the world, the Connection is providing a valuable service by enabling members to connect with one another within the local community. Total attendance at meetings 2024-2025 exceeded 7,000.
  2. $2,051 spent. Provide community resources for low-cost counseling services by providing resources and space and facilitate delivery of counseling services for seniors, youths, and low-income households. During 2024/25 counselors continued to provide sessions twice weekly.
  3. $2,543 spent. Provide laptops for students: For the past several year the Connection has worked with the local high school to provide laptop computers to graduating students who would not otherwise be able to afford them. In 2024-2025 the Connection provided laptops to 7 students.
