- $85,790 spent. AS PART OF NORTH TEXAS MISSION'S COMMUNITY OUTREACH EFFORTS IN HONDURAS NTM AND GRACE CHURCH PARTNERED THIS YEAR TO PROVIDE MISSION SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES. IN MEXICO THE TEAM HOSTED VBS TIME WITH THE CHILDREN FROM THE VILLAGE ALONG WITH HOLDING SOFTBALL AND SOCCER CAMPS. THE CONSTRUCTION WORK INVOLVED COMPLETING THE NEXT STAGE OF WORK ON THE MISSION HOUSE. THE WEEK WAS AN AMAZING SUCCESS WITH THE BIGGEST TAKE-AWAY SEEING IN ACTION THE GIFTING OF THE SPIRIT PRESENT IN EVERY MEMBER'S CONTRIBUTION TO THE SERVICE WEEK. NTM'S PARTNERSHIP CONTINUES AND THIS YEAR INCLUDED GRACE CHURCH. THE TEAM DEMOED THE COPY ROOM, TEARING OUT ROTTEN SHELVES AND REPLACING THEM, ALONG WITH REPAIRING AND PAINTING WALLS. THE STAFF BATHROOM WAS REMODELED ALONG WITH THE WORK REQUIRED TO FINISH TWO CLASSROOM ROOFS. WHILE THE WEATHER CHANNEL WAS PREDICTING RAIN THE WHOLE WEEK, THE LORD DIDN'T LET IT RAIN UNTIL 5 MINUTES AFTER THE TEAM WAS FINISHED. WE HAD A BEAUTIFUL GROUP OF CHILDREN EVERY DAY FOR VBS, AND JUST WHEN WE RAN SHORT ON HELP, THE ELEUTHERA BIBLE TRAINING CENTER INTERNS STEPPED UP AND CARRIED WHAT WE COULD NOT. AS PART OF THE MINISTRY, WE PROVIDED A NEW LAWN MOWER TO REPLACE ONE THAT WAS STOLEN AND A WATER PUMP TO REPLACE THE ONE THAT WAS NOT FUNCTIONING. THE ECONOMIC DOWNTURN EXPERIENCED ACROSS THE WORLD CONTINUES TO HAVE A PROFOUND IMPACT IN HONDURAS; JOB OPPORTUNITIES CONTINUE TO BE LIMITED ALONG WITH THE INCREASING COST OF FOOD AND SUPPLIES. IN 2024, NTM AGAIN PROVIDED FOOD RELIEF BY PROVIDING BEANS, RICE, SALT, PASTA, MAIZE, LARD, AND SOAP TO 200 FAMILIES AND SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN IN OUR STEP-BY-STEP MINISTRY. AS PART OF OUR MINISTRY IN SAN MARCOS, NTM PROVIDED 300 BACKPACKS TO THE CHILDREN THE SURROUNDING SCHOOLS. THESE BACKPACKS CONTAINED THE CORE ESSENTIALS NEEDED AS THE STUDENTS START BACK TO SCHOOL. IN ADDITION TO THE SOUL SAVING MESSAGE OF THE GOSPEL, NTM PROVIDED PHYSICAL HELP IN FORM OF MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE. WE ALSO WERE ABLE TO HELP CRISTIANO, WHO WAS DIAGNOSED WITH BONE CANCER HAVING HAD HIS LEG AMPUTATED RECENTLY. WE HELPED THE FAMILY WITH DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS AND HOTEL FOR ONGOING TREATMENT AND CHECKUPS IN TEGUCIGALPA WHICH IS A 6-HOUR BUS RIDE.
