Financial health
We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance
This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (3)
- Assessment Grants-Collection Assessment grants were awarded to museums for assessments of their collections. After site visits to examine collections and review policies and procedures related to collection care and management, recipients received collection assessment reports with prioritized lists of recommendations for improving the care and management of collections. These recommendations are intended to help institutions improve the care of their collections, alert board members to collections care concerns, provide documentation that can support development of a long-range collection/preservation plan, and be used to fundraise for collection projects
- Humanities Grant-The Museum of Connecticut History received a Planning Grant from CTH in July 2024 for the ?Connecticut?s Role in the Founding of the United States? project. These funds allowed the museum to work with an Exhibit Planning Consultant, an Exhibit Designer Consultant, and an Advisory Team of Connecticut-based historians and museum professionals to create a comprehensive plan for an exhibit that will commemorate the nation?s semiquincentennial.
- Seed Education Grant-Elisabeth Nevins, owner of Seed Education Consulting, served as the Exhibit Planning Consultant for the ?Connecticut?s Role in the Founding of the United States? project from July 2024-March 2025. Nevins led the planning project, managing meetings with an Advisory Team, Connecticut State Library's (CSL) Internal 250 Committee, and the Core Planning Team to brainstorm topics for the exhibit, solidify themes, identify individual stories and artifacts, and provide feedback for layout and design. Under her leadership, the team was able to create a comprehensive plan for an exhibit called "Connecticut?s Revolution" that includes an Exhibit Brief, Exhibit Framework, and Exhibit Designs.
