Financial health
We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance
This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (4)
- $5,307 spent. SCHOOL PLAY. The PTA supports the production of the annual school musical play, engaging 54 students as performers in three public performances as well as in-school performances for all students at Spring Glen School. Expenses include the cost of supplies / props and professional fees paid to the play director.
- $3,218 spent. AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS. The PTA After School Committee organized approximately 90 trimester-long after school programs, providing on-site enrichment opportunities throughout the school year to 187 unique students across 676 enrollments. To ensure all students at Spring Glen School are able to participate in after school enrichment activities, the PTA covers scholarships for after school activities for some students from lower income households. These payments to after school providers covered the cost of approximately a couple dozen students participating in after school program activities.
- $26,438 spent. CO-CURRICULAR ENRICHMENT. The PTA provided enrichment programming, including field trips, an all-school Art Night, field day, multicultural assembly performances, and providing a summer reading book to every student at the school. Enrichment activities benefit all approximately 370 students at Spring Glen School, from Kindergarten through 6th Grade. Special additional enrichment programming for the 6th Grade class includes a day trip to New York City (including Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty) as part of a unit where students learn about immigration.
- $6,883 spent. COMMUNITY-BUILDING ACTIVITIES. The PTA organizes events throughout the year to strengthen a sense of community among its members and other stakeholders. Activities include teacher appreciation events, new / kindergarten family summer play dates, a family campout event, end-of-year celebrations for the 6th Grade class, and a scholarship for a former Spring Glen School student graduating from Hamden High School.
