What it says it does

THE YMCA FOUNDATION OF SOUTH PALM BEACH COUNTY WAS ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE A PERMANENT SOURCE OF FUNDING, ENABLING THE YMCA TO MEET CRITICAL COMMUNITY NEEDS BOTH NOW AND IN THE FUTURE. EARNINGS FROM THE FUND SUPPORT EXISTING PROGRAM AREAS, PROVIDE FLEXIBILITY TO DEVELOP NEW PROGRAMS IN RESPONSE TO CHANGING COMMUNITY NEEDS, FUND IMPROVEMENTS TO KEEP FACILITIES SAFE, WELCOMING, AND UP TO CODE, AND OFFER A SAFETY NET DURING TIMES OF CRISIS OR ECONOMIC UNCERTAINTY. AS THE NATION'S LEADING NONPROFIT FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, HEALTHY LIVING, AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, THE Y MUST ENSURE IT CAN CONTINUE TO MAKE A MEANINGFUL AND LASTING IMPACT IN THE COMMUNITY-BOTH NOW AND IN THE FUTURE. RAPID CHANGES IN THE LOCAL ECONOMY MAKE IT EVEN MORE IMPORTANT TO PLAN FOR LONG-TERM STABILITY. SOUND FINANCIAL PLANNING IS A STEWARDSHIP RESPONSIBILITY OF THE LEADERS ENTRUSTED TO STRENGTHEN THE Y DURING THEIR TIME OF SERVICE.
