Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $9,266 spent. Workshops and educational events: Our goal is to educate artists in various elements of painting with the intention of having them in turn be able to teach others in the years ahead. Each year 10 to 15 workshops are held with approximately 50 different participants.
  2. $15,783 spent. Shows & Exhibits: The organization presents several shows each year. Some are open to all artists whose works are juried for admission. Shows might be invitational or are open to all members whose works are accepted with jury. Annual shows: The "For Pastels Only", a National juried exhibit with over 100 paintings displayed for 3 weeks. "Member Show" is a non-juried exhibit open to all members that exhibited for 3 weeks.
  3. $2,161 spent. Annual meeting of membership: Includes social opportunities to network, enjoy the Member Show and learn from a demonstration presented by a professional artist. The election of the Board of Directors also takes place at the annual meeting.
