Programs described in its return (1)
- $1.8 million spent. ICGS HOLD SEVERAL PROGRAMS AROUND THE GLOBE EACH YEAR, BOTH IN-PERSON AND VIRTUALLY. OUR EDUCATING GIRLS SYMPOSIUMS (IN-PERSON EVENTS) WERE HELD IN AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND, THE UK, AND THE UNITED STATES. THE PURPOSE OF THESE SYMPOSIUMS IS TO CONVENE A ONE-DAY GATHERING OF EDUCATIONAL PROFESSIONALS TO LEARN FROM EACH OTHER AND OTHER CONTENT AREA EXPERTS. OUR ANNUAL CONFERENCE IS HELD EACH YEAR TO SHARE IDEAS ABOUT HOW BEST TO PREPARE AND EMPOWER GIRLS TO BE ETHICAL, GLOBALLY-MINDED CHANGEMAKERS WHO LEAD WITH COURAGE, COMPETENCE, AND EMPATHY. WE ALSO RUN AN ANNUAL STUDENT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE IN AUSTRALIA EACH JANUARY. THIS PROGRAM IS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR STUDENTS. OUR TWO VIRTUAL PROGRAMS ARE HEADWAYS AND FOUNDATIONS IN GIRLS' EDUCATION. HEADWAYS CONNECTS MEMBERS AROUND THE GLOBE ABOUT A SPECIFIC TOPIC. THE FOUNDATIONS IN GIRLS' EDUCATION COURSE IS FOR EDUCATORS WHO ARE NEW TO GIRLS' SCHOOLS. EACH YEAR WE HAVE A COHORT OF MEMBERS WHO PARTICIPATE IN OUR GLOBAL ACTION RESEARCH COLLABORATIVE. THE PROGRAM ALLOWS THE SELECTED EDUCATORS TO PERFORM RESEARCH IN THEIR CLASSROOMS AROUND PEDAGOGY AND CURRICULUM AND HOW IT IMPACTS THE EDUCATION OF GIRLS. THE RESEARCH IS SHARED AT OUR SYMPOSIUMS AND CONFERENCES AND AVAILABLE TO ALL MEMBERS IN OUR WEBSITE RESOURCES.
