Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $3,812 spent. Eye Surgeries: During 2025 Enfoque Ixcan's three local indigenous Eye Health Promoters accompanied patients to the eye hospital for eye surgeries and other professional eye treatment. 18 patients received this professional care including 14 cataract surgeries. During 2025 Enfoque Ixcan entered into an agreement with the surgical center to provide management of our clinic to provide better access and care for the patients. Staffing issues depressed the yearly numbers but it is expected the number of eye surgeries in 2026 will meet or exceed former levels as we now have a fully staffed clinic.
  2. $17,721 spent. Eye Health: In 2024 the three Eye Health Promoters and the Amigos optometry students and accompanying optometrists provided 594 eye exams, dispensed 223 pairs of glasses and referred 12 patients for eye surgeries. With a now fully staffed clinic it is expected that service numbers will return to traditional levels.
